RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING | ||||
LINDA T. LARSON | ||||

WHEREAS, Linda T. Larson has been a member of the Mayor’s Civic Coordinating Council, the San Mateo County Council of Cities, the BART Citizens Advisory Committee, the Airport Community Roundtable, the Congestion Management and Air Quality Committee, Millbrae Community Television, and the Airport Land Use Committee; and | ||||
WHEREAS, Linda T. Larson has served the City of Millbrae for the last fourteen years, first as a member of the Planning Commission and then as a member of the Millbrae City Council; and | ||||
WHEREAS, Linda T. Larson has been a Millbrae City Council member since 1999, served as Vice Mayor from 2000-2001 and as Mayor from 2002-2003; and | ||||
WHEREAS, Linda T. Larson as the Mayor of Millbrae was responsible for accomplishing many significant achievements for the City of Millbrae, including, opening the New BART Station- Intermodal Transportation Facility, the inauguration of the 20-passanger Millbrae Senior Transportation Van, repaving El Camino Real from one end of the City to the Other, and maintaining full service Police and Fire Departments through the budget crisis. As Mayor of Millbrae, Linda T. Larson was instrumental in mitigation negotiations with BART that concluded in BART contributing over $300,000 to residential area enhancements, and was also instrumental in strengthening the Dangerous Animal Ordinance. | ||||
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, on November 27, 2007, hereby honors and commends Linda T. Larson for her many years of service to the City of Millbrae and congratulates her upon her leaving office. | ||||
