RESOLUTION

THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION HONORING

COASTSIDE FAMILY MEDICAL CENTER and STANFORD HOSPITAL & CLINICS

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

WHEREAS, Coastside Family Medical Center and Stanford Hospital & Clinics provide essential medical services to those in need; and

WHEREAS, these non-profit corporations are a valuable community resource; and

WHEREAS, Stanford Hospital & Clinics today announced a $1.32 million grant to Coastside Family Medical Center of Half Moon Bay; and

WHEREAS, Stanford Hospital & Clinics used this grant to subsidize Coastside Family Medical Center’s lease over the last 6 years, and also donated medical supplies and equipment; and

WHEREAS, Coastside Family Medical Center has formed a solid leadership team, strengthening the financial viability necessary to provide care for the coastside community; and

WHEREAS, Coastside Family Medical Center provides access to quality healthcare to more than 8,300 residents of the San Mateo County coast.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors

recognizes the invaluable contribution of Stanford Hospital & Clinics to Coastside Family Medical Center, in assisting in the safeguarding of health and improving the quality of life for all people in the San Mateo County coastal area.
