RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF A GRANT AWARD FROM THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH FOR TUBERCULOSIS (TB) PREVENTION AND CONTROL ACTIVITIES FOR THE TERM OF JULY 1, 2007 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2008, IN THE AMOUNT OF $281,028.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance a Grant Award from the California State Department of Public Health, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars; and

WHEREAS, the California State Department of Public Health will provide funding to support the Tuberculosis program for the period of July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2008, for a total amount of $281,028; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of the Grant Award and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to accept the Grant Award:

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of the Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to accept said Grant Award for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
