    RESOLUTION 1) AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH GE HEALTHCARE TECHNOLOGIES FOR PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE ON BIOMED AND DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING EQUIPMENT AT SAN MATEO MEDICAL CENTER AND OFF-SITE CLINICS AND FACILITIES FROM NOVEMBER 1, 2007 TO OCTOBER 31, 2012 FOR A MAXIMUM AMOUNT PAYABLE NOT TO EXCEED $4,368,792 2) AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF SAN MATEO MEDICAL CENTER OR DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS WHICH MODIFY THE COUNTY’S MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION BY NO MORE THAN $25,000 (IN AGGREGATE), AND/OR MODIFY THE CONTRACT TERM AND/OR SERVICES SO LONG AS THE MODIFIED TERM OR SERVICES IS/ARE WITHIN THE CURRENT OR REVISED FISCAL PROVISIONS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, San Mateo Medical Center (SMMC) requires biomedical engineering services for maintenance and repair of patient care and non-patient care medical equipment and has historically used outside contractors to provide those services; and

 

WHEREAS, a Request for Proposal (RFP) was conducted in October, 2007 and was awarded in mid-November, 2007 to GE Healthcare Technologies; and

WHEREAS, both parties now wish to enter into an Agreement, to provide preventive maintenance and service of biomed and diagnostic imaging equipment for the period November 1, 2007 to October 31, 2012, for a total obligation of $4,368,792; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of the Agreement and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into the Agreement.

 

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signatures thereto.

 

IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief Executive Officer of San Mateo Medical Center shall be authorized to execute contract amendments which modify the County’s maximum fiscal obligation by n o more than $25,000 (in aggregate), and/or modify the contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions.
