RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A GRANT FROM THE SAN MATEO COUNTY HEALTH FOUNDATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,500,000 TO BE USED FOR EXPANSION OF THE RON ROBINSON SENIOR CARE CENTER AND RELOCATION OF THE DEPARTMENTS OF EKG/EEG AND RESPIRATORY THERAPY

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, The San Mateo County Health Foundation realized a need for expansion of the Ron Robinson Senior Care Center; and

WHEREAS, on November 7, 2007, The San Mateo County Health Foundation notified the County that it had awarded the San Mateo Medical Center a grant in the amount of $1,500,000 to be used for expansion of the Ron Robinson Senior Care Center during Fiscal Year 2007-08; and

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance the San Mateo County Health Foundation grant award, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby the Foundation will allocate funds in the amount of $1,500,000 for FY2007-08 for the expansion of the Ron Robinson Senior Care Center; and

WHEREAS, this Board has examined and approved the grant award as to both form and content and desires to accept it:

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to accept the grant award from the San Mateo County Health Foundation on behalf of the County of San Mateo and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.
