BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, SITTING AS THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION APPROVING A MAINTENANCE PLAN FOR THE HOUSING AUTHORITY’S PUBLIC HOUSING PROGRAM

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, sitting as the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Housing Authority is responsible for the provision of decent, safe and sanitary housing in good repair and to respond to the needs of low-income families by providing an organized method of maintenance actions to follow;

WHEREAS, the Housing Authority’s maintenance function is assessed through HUD’s Public Housing Assessment System (PHAS) and evaluated on components relating to the Maintenance Plan;

WHEREAS, the Housing Authority received a Consolidated Review audit from HUD in April 2007 in which a finding was issued stating the Housing Authority must update its Maintenance Plan and obtain Board approval for it;

WHEREAS, this Board is authorized to approve the Maintenance Plan;

WHEREAS, there has been presented to the Board of Commissioners for its consideration and acceptance the Maintenance Plan reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, and the Board has examined and approved the same as to form and content.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority, approve the Maintenance Plan.
