BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

    RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH ECLINICALWORKS TO INSTALL AND MAINTAIN AN AMBULATORY ELECTRONIC MEDICAL RECORD (AEMR) AT SAN MATEO MEDICAL CENTER (SMMC) FOR THE TERM OF SEVEN (7) YEARS, COMMENCING UPON THE DATE OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS’ APPROVAL, FOR A MAXIMUM OBLIGATION OF $1,800,000; AND, AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS WHICH MODIFY THE COUNTY’S MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION BY NO MORE THAN $25,000 (IN AGGREGATE), AND/OR MODIFY THE CONTRACT TERM AND/OR SERVICES SO LONG AS THE MODIFIED TERM OR SERVICES IS/ARE WITHIN THE CURRENT OR REVISED FISCAL PROVISIONS.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, eClinicalWorks and the County of San Mateo now wish to enter into an Agreement to install and maintain an Ambulatory Electronic Medical Record (AEMR) at San Mateo Medical Center (SMMC), for the term of seven (7) years, commencing upon the date of the Board of Supervisors’ approval, in the amount of $1,800,000; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board has been requested to grant signature authority to the Chief Information Officer or his designee to execute contract amendments which modify the County’s maximum fiscal obligation by no more than $25,000 (in aggregate), and/or modify the Contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions; and

 
 
 
 

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of the authorization, said Board has examined and approved same as to both form and content and desires to enter into same.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the

    President of the Board of Supervisors is authorized and directed to execute said Agreement as is approved by the County Counsel for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.

    That signature authority is granted to the Chief Information Officer to execute contract amendments which modify the County’s maximum fiscal obligation by no more than $25,000 (in aggregate), and/or modify the Contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions.
