RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING | ||||
Mario C. Panoringan | ||||
Upon His Retirement As | ||||
CEO of the Daly City-Colma Chamber of Commerce | ||||

WHEREAS, Mario C. Panoringan has been an active member of the overall San Mateo County community for decades, as a private business owner, civic volunteer and, since 2004, CEO of the Daly City-Colma Chamber of Commerce; and | ||||
WHEREAS, Mario’s multiple leadership roles include the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of San Francisco, twice chair of the SamTrans Citizens Advisory Council, the Daly City Supporters of Doelger Senior Center, the Peninsula Community Foundation and with the San Francisco-Manila Sister City Committee; and | ||||
WHEREAS, Mario was the founding president of the Daly City-Quezon City Sister City Committee, as well as the more recent Filipino American Coalition; and | ||||
WHEREAS, Mario’s selfless dedication garnered Daly City Citizen of the Year honors in 1998, plus the Professional of the Year award that same year from the Peninsula Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors; and | ||||
WHEREAS, after serving as chair of the Daly City Planning Commission, Mario took on the responsibilities of the Chamber’s presidency and in 1999 led the first-ever trade and tourism mission to the Philippines. | ||||
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County congratulates Mario C. Panoringan upon his retirement as CEO of the Daly City-Colma Chamber of Commerce. The Board hereby extends to Mario and his family sincere wishes for many years of continuous health, happiness and success. | ||||
