BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION: 1) AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AGREEMENTS WITH LA HONDA PESCADERO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT ($550,864), SOUTH COAST CHILDREN’S SERVICES ($246,287) AND WESTED ($124,750) FOR THE SOUTH COAST PROJECT ALCOHOL AND OTHER DRUG PREVENTION SERVICES PROGRAM FUNDED BY A SAFE AND DRUG FREE SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITIES GRANT FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF ALCOHOL AND DRUG PROGRAMS (DADP) FOR THE TERM OCTOBER 1, 2007 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 2012, FOR A COMBINED MAXIMUM OF $921,901; AND 2) AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF HEALTH OR THE DIRECTOR'S DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS WHICH MODIFY THE COUNTY'S MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION BY NO MORE THAN $25,000 PER AGREEMENT, AND/OR MODIFY THE CONTRACT TERM AND/OR SERVICES SO LONG AS THE MODIFIED TERM OR SERVICES IS/ARE WITHIN THE CURRENT OR REVISED FISCAL PROVISIONS

 

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance three Agreements, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby the aforementioned contractors shall provide alcohol and drug prevention services; and

 

WHEREAS, the term of these Agreements is October 1, 2007 through September 30, 2012 1) La Honda Pescadero Unified School District ($550,864), 2) South Coast Children’s Services ($246,287), and 3) WestEd ($124,750), for a combined maximum of $921,901; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with forms of these Agreements and has examined and approved them as to both form and content and desires to enter into these Agreements:

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreements for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Health or the Director's designee is hereby authorized to execute contract amendments which modify the County's maximum fiscal obligation by no more than $25,000 per Agreement, and/or modify the contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions.
