BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION (A) AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND ELECTRONIC DATA SYSTEMS (EDS) TO CONTINUE TO PROVIDE MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS SERVICES FOR THE CALWORKS INFORMATION NETWORK (CALWIN) AND EXTENDING THE TERM TO JULY 31, 2010, INCREASING THE AMOUNT BY $2,597,794 TO $13,955,318, OF WHICH $155,868 IS NET COUNTY COST; AND (B) AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF THE HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY OR THE DIRECTOR’S DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS WHICH MODIFY THE COUNTY’S MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION BY NO MORE THAN $25,000 (IN AGGREGATE), AND/OR MODIFY THE CONTRACT TERM AND/OR SERVICES SO LONG AS THE MODIFIED TERM OR SERVICES IS/ARE WITHIN THE CURRENT OR REVISED FISCAL PROVISIONS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, on September 12, 2000, the Board of Supervisors approved Resolution Number 63914 for an Agreement with the Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in the amount of $11,357,524, for the term of July 1, 1999 to June 30, 2008, to design and develop CalWIN in conjunction with the 18-county Welfare Client Data System (WCDS) consortium; and

 

WHEREAS, the parties now wish to Amend this Agreement to add funds in the amount of $2,597,794, for a total obligation of $13,955,318, and extend the term to July 31, 2010, for EDS to continue to provide maintenance and operations services for CalWIN; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such Amendment, and said Board has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into same.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the

A) The President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto; and

 

B) Director of the Human Services Agency is authorized to execute contract amendments which modify the County’s maximum fiscal obligation by no more than $25,000 (in aggregate, and/or modify the contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions.
