THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION COMMENDING

CITY OF MILLBRAE SENIOR CENTER AND

SENIOR ADVISORY COMMITTEE

WHEREAS, the City of Millbrae Senior Center and Senior Advisory Committee developed the concept of the Health and Wellness Faire; and

WHEREAS, the City of Millbrae Senior Center and Senior Advisory Committee is holding the second annual Millbrae Health and Wellness Faire on January 26, 2008; and

WHEREAS, the first annual Millbrae Health and Wellness Faire was such a success with over 300 people attending, the City of Millbrae Senior Center and Senior Advisory Committee has decided to make the Millbrae Health and Wellness Faire an annual event; and

WHEREAS, the City of Millbrae Senior Center and the Senior Advisory Committee provided the leadership to organize this year’s faire which will have 4 distinguished speakers, over sixty vendors and service providers, including the mobile blood bank, and 500 expected attendees; and

WHEREAS, the City of Millbrae Senior Center and Senior Advisory Committee are promoting physical fitness, nutrition, and longevity which benefits the Millbrae community greatly.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, on the Twenty-sixth day of January, Two Thousand and eight, commends the City of Millbrae Senior Center and Senior Advisory Committee for promoting physical fitness, nutrition and longevity to the Senior Citizens of Millbrae by hosting the Second Annual Millbrae Health and Wellness Faire.
