BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING: (A) THE WAIVER OF THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) PROCESS; (B) THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH COMMMUNITY OVERCOMING RELATIONSHIPS ABUSE (CORA) TO PROVIDE ONE-TIME BRIDGE FUNDING, FOR THE TERM OF JANUARY 1, 2008 TO JUNE 30, 2008, IN THE AMOUNT OF $120,000 OF WHICH $54,000 IS NET COUNTY COST; AND C) THE DIRECTOR OF THE HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY OR THE DIRECTOR’S DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS WHICH MODIFY THE COUNTY’S MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION BY NO MORE THAN $25,000 (IN AGGREGATE), AND/OR MODIFY THE CONTRACT TERM AND/OR SERVICES SO LONG AS THE MODIFIED TERM OR SERVICES IS/ARE WITHIN THE CURRENT OR REVISED FISCAL PROVISIONS

 

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an Agreement with Community Overcoming Relationships Abuse for the purpose of one-time bridge funding to maintain their current Client Support Services Program (CSSP); and

 

WHEREAS, the term of this Agreement is January 1, 2008 through June 30, 2008 with a total obligation of $120,000; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with the form of this Agreement and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into said Agreement; and

WHEREAS, it is in the County’s best interests to waive the RFP process because Community Overcoming Relationships Abuse is the only agency in San Mateo County that provides domestic violence shelter-based services.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that

A. The Request for Proposal process is waived;

B. The President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto; and

C. The Director of the Human Services Agency or the Director’s designee to execute contract amendments which modify the County’s maximum fiscal obligation by no more than $25,000 (in aggregate), and/or modify the contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions.
