RESOLUTION 1) ADOPTING THE PROPOSED REVISED “SAN MATEO COUNTY AIRPORTS POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR HANGARS, T-SHADES, TIEDOWNS AND WAITING LISTS” DATED FEBRUARY 13, 2008, AS THE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES TO BE FOLLOWED BY THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS RELATED TO THE MANAGEMENT OF AIRCRAFT STORAGE HANGARS,
T-SHADES, TIEDOWNS AND WAITING LISTS AT THE SAN CARLOS AND HALF MOON BAY AIRPORTS; 2) AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO IMPLEMENT SAID POLICIES AND PROCEDURES BEGINNING FEBRUARY 13, 2008; 3) ESTABLISHING THAT THE INITIAL 45-DAY APPLICATION PERIOD AS SPECIFIED IN SECTIONS II AND III OF SAID POLICIES AND PROCEDURES SHALL COMMENCE ON FEBRUARY 13, 2008, AND SHALL END ON MARCH 28, 2008; 4) AMENDING THE FEE SCHEDULE ESTABLISHED JUNE 30, 2006, FOR THE USE OF FACILITIES AT THE SAN CARLOS AND HALF MOON BAY AIRPORTS SUCH THAT FOR THE SAN CARLOS AIRPORT THE MONTHLY RENTAL FEES FOR THE NEW AIRCRAFT STORAGE HANGARS SHALL BE BASED ON A SQUARE FOOTAGE RATE EQUAL TO 120% OF THE EXISTING SQUARE FOOTAGE RATE FOR METAL AIRCRAFT STORAGE HANGARS AND MONTHLY RENTAL FEES FOR THE NEW T-SHADE AIRCRAFT STORAGE SHALL BE $250 PER MONTH; AND 5) ESTABLISHING THAT THE AMENDED FEES AND REVISED POLICIES REMAIN IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT UNTIL CHANGED OR MODIFIED BY AN ACTION OF YOUR BOARD.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board proposed changes to the policies and procedures for hangars, tiedowns and waiting lists dated April 2002, and airworthy and non-airworthy aircraft dated July 2001, for the San Carlos and Half Moon Bay Airports (the “San Mateo County Airports Policies and Procedures for Hangars, T-Shades, Tiedowns and Waiting Lists”); and

 

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended that the proposed changes to said policies and procedures be adopted by this Board; and

 

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board proposed changes to the schedule of fees established June 20, 2006, for the use of facilities at the County Airports to include monthly fees for the new aircraft storage hangars and T-shades currently under construction at the San Carlos Airport, to be effective February 13, 2008; and

 

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended that the proposed changes to said fee schedule be adopted by this Board; and

 

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has submitted his recommendations to this Board and this Board has considered the recommendations of the Director of Public Works.

 

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that:

Effective February 13, 2008, the San Mateo County Airports Policies and Procedures for Hangars, T-Shades, Tiedowns and Waiting Lists, as attached to this Resolution, is hereby adopted as the policies to be followed by the Director of Public Works related to the management of hangars, T-shades, tiedowns and waiting lists at the San Carlos and Half Moon Bay Airports.

The Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to implement said Policies and Procedures and to develop and distribute the forms for said implementation beginning February 13, 2008.

The initial 45-day application period as specified in Sections II and III of said Policies and Procedures shall commence on February 13, 2008, and shall end on March 28, 2008.

 

4.

The fee schedule established June 30, 2006, for the use of facilities at the San Carlos and Half Moon Bay Airports shall be amended such that for the San Carlos Airport the monthly rental fees for the new aircraft storage hangars shall be based on a square footage rate equal to 120% of the existing square footage rate for metal aircraft storage hangar and monthly rental fees for the new T-shade aircraft storage spaces shall be $250 per month.

 

5.

Fees and policies established by this resolution or by the mechanisms as described in this resolution shall remain in full force and affect until changed or modified by an action of the Board of Supervisors.
