SUBJECT:		Disposition of Claims Filed Against County
RECOMMENDATION:
Deny the claims listed below.

BACKGROUND:
Under authority of Resolution No. 35006 and Ordinance No. 2321, the Board directed the Director to process claims filed against the County. Further investigation may indicate justification for payment by the County. If so, payment will be made under the authority of the Risk Manager or will be brought back to the Board.

The Risk Management Division has reviewed these claims and recommends that you take the following action:

G07-031	Boyd, Lois and Marylon, et al.			7/26/07 Non-culpable
	Claimants allege Aging and Adult Services' refusal, failure, deliberate indifference and negligence in handling complaints for protection and help for Isabell Boyd (deceased) while Isabell was hospitalized at Peninsula Medical Center caused emotional distress, physical injury and neglect.

	Claimant alleges his vehicle tires were damaged due to driving over a large pothole in the road between Trader Lane and Reef Drive in San Mateo.

	Claimant alleges the storm drains at the San Carlos Airport backed up during a rain event that caused flooding inside the office of Rabbit Aviation Services.

	Claimant alleges lost personal property while incarcerated at the Maguire Correctional facility.
