BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION APPROVING SAN MATEO COUNTY’S FEDERAL APPROPRIATIONS REQUESTS FOR FEDERAL FISCAL YEAR 2009

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, San Mateo County is in need for funding to support a variety of programs that support the County’s Vision 2010 commitments and goals; and

WHEREAS, each year San Mateo County works with its Congressional delegation to secure federal funding (commonly referred to as earmarks) for specific projects; and

WHEREAS, the Board’s Legislative Committee, in consultation with County staff, has reviewed and recommended the following projects: Highway 92 Bicycle Overpass; Sanchez Adobe Historic Site; Public Health Laboratory; San Mateo County Children’s Receiving Home; Gender Responsive Programming; Sewer Pipe Replacement; and Solar Genesis.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Board of Supervisors does hereby approve of San Mateo County’s Federal Appropriations requests for Federal Fiscal Year 2009.
