BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A STATE OF CALIFORNIA COASTAL CONSERVANCY GRANT AWARD IN THE AMOUNT OF $38,122 FOR THE SAN BRUNO MOUNTAIN VOLUNTEER TRAIL PROJECT; AND AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR, DEPARTMENT OF PARKS, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE IN THE NAME OF THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO ALL NECESSARY APPLICATIONS, CONTRACTS, AGREEMENTS, AMENDMENTS AND PAYMENT REQUESTS HERETO FOR THE PURPOSES OF IMPLEMENTING THE PURPOSES SPECIFIED IN THE GRANT APPLICATION

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo wants to undertake the implementation of the San Bruno Mountain Volunteer Trail Project; and

WHEREAS, the State of California Coastal Conservancy approved full grant funding for the San Bruno Mountain Volunteer Trail Project at its December 13, 2007 Board of Directors meeting; and

WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State of California Coastal Conservancy require the grantee to certify by resolution the acceptance of such grant agreement and its terms and conditions before submission of said agreement to the State; and

WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo will comply with the assurances contained in the grant agreement.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Board of Supervisors by adoption of this Resolution hereby approves the acceptance of a State of California Coastal Conservancy grant award in the amount of $38,122 for the San Bruno Mountain Volunteer Trail Project; and be it further resolved that the Director, Department of Parks, or his designee, is authorized to sign any contracts, agreements, payment requests and any other documents which may be necessary to carry out the purposes specified in the grant application to complete the project.
