BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION APPROVING A REVISED LIST OF ROAD PROJECTS TO BE CONSTRUCTED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS UTILIZING FISCAL YEAR 2007-08 PROPOSITION 1B BOND MONIES AND ROAD FUNDS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, California voters passed Proposition 1B in November 2006, which authorized the distribution of bond monies to California public agencies for the purpose of maintaining and improving an agency’s road infrastructure; and

WHEREAS, San Mateo County is eligible for bond funds in the amount of $7,165,625.45 in 2008; and

WHEREAS, the bond initiative requires that a local agency’s governing Board approve those specific project limits for which the use of bond monies is proposed, spend the funds and construct the improvements within three years of the allocation; and

WHEREAS, this Board previously approved, in its 2007-08 and 2008-09 budget, a regional allocation of Road Funds for Public Works projects; and

WHEREAS, this Board previously adopted Resolution 069168 which contained a list of projects to be funded with the bond; and

WHEREAS, this Board, on the recommendation of the Department of Public Works, desires to amend this list of projects; and

WHEREAS, the revised list of projects is attached hereto as Exhibit “A”.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the specific projects identified in Exhibit “A”, attached hereto, be and is hereby adopted as the revised list of road projects intended for construction by the Department of Public Works utilizing the County’s allocation of Proposition 1B Transportation Bond funds.
