THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE

11^th ANNUAL PESCADERO COASTAL CLASSIC CYCLING RACE

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

WHEREAS, on June 14^th, 2008, the 11th Annual Pescadero Coastal Classic Cycling Race will take place; and

WHEREAS, the Pescadero Coastal Classic Cycling Race is a benefit for South Coast Children's services, a non-profit founded in 1977 to provide educational, recreational and cultural opportunities for children who live on the South Coast; and

WHEREAS, the Pescadero Coastal Classic Cycling Race raised $4400 in 2007 for the South Coast Children's Services' Center; and

WHEREAS, the Pescadero Municipal Advisory Council (PMAC) unanimously supports the event; and

WHEREAS, the Pescadero Coastal Classic Cycling Race is sanctioned by the United States Cycling Federation and is run in accordance with the rules and regulations governing bicycle racing in the United States; and

WHEREAS, the Pescadero Coastal Classic Cycling Race can be enjoyed by all levels of cyclist, from the professional to the beginner, as well as children;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County does hereby extend its best wishes to the organizers and participants of the 11th Annual Pescadero Coastal Classic Cycling Race and appreciates all these efforts on behalf of South Coast Children's Services.
