THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING

JOHN CHRISTENSEN

In recognition of his work on behalf of Little League Baseball and the youth

of San Mateo County

WHEREAS, JOHN CHRISTENSEN has for the last ten years held the position of District Administrator of Little League District 52, pursuant to which he is responsible for the supervision and coordination of seventeen different little leagues spanning the area from Pacifica to Palo Alto; and

WHEREAS, prior to becoming the Administrator, JOHN CHRISTENSEN served as District 52’s Assistant District Administrator, as well its Chief Umpire; and

WHEREAS, JOHN CHRISTENSEN began his volunteer service to Little League Baseball more than thirty years ago, first as a coach, then as a Board Member, umpire and League President, all for the San Mateo American Little League; and

WHEREAS, JOHN CHRISTENSEN holds the rare distinction of having worked as an umpire in games played in four different Little League Baseball World Series divisions: Little League, Junior League, Senior League and Big League; and

WHEREAS, JOHN CHRISTENSEN’S family and friends, including his fellow District 52 Board Members, are gathering to honor and thank him for his more than thirty years of service to Little League Baseball and to honor and thank him on behalf of the thousands of boys and girls JOHN CHRISTENSEN has coached, mentored and befriended.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, hereby commends JOHN CHRISTENSEN for his dedication and commitment to Little League Baseball and to the youth of San Mateo County and wishes him continued success.
