RESOLUTION (A) AUTHORIZING A SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH FULL CAPACITY MARKETING AND THE TERM REMAINING DECEMBER 26, 2006 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2008 TO PROVIDE MARKETING SERVICES, INCREASING THE AMOUNT BY $12,000 TO $110,874 AND (B) AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF THE HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY OR THE DIRECTOR'S DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS WHICH MODIFY THE COUNTY'S MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION BY NO MORE THAN $25,000 (IN AGGREGATE), AND/OR MODIFY THE CONTRACT TERM AND/OR SERVICES SO LONG AS THE MODIFIED TERM OR SERVICES IS/ARE WITHIN THE CURRENT OR REVISED FISCAL PROVISIONS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, the County and the Contractor entered into an Agreement marketing Workforce Development business services that target both employers and affected employees, on December 26, 2006 in the amount of $98,874 by Agreement Number 73200-07-C157; and

 

WHEREAS, the parties entered into a First Amendment to the Agreement on July 13, 2007 for the purpose of extending the term by twelve (12) months to June 30, 2008 to use unspent funds from FY 2006-07 to continue marketing through FY 2007-08; and

 

WHEREAS, the parties wish to further amend the Agreement to increase funds by $12,000 changing the Agreement obligation from $98,874 to $110,874 to cover rising marketing needs due to changing employment trends and the term of the Agreement will remain December 26, 2006 through June 30, 2008; and

 

WHEREAS, such services comply with Workforce Investment Act program specific requirements; and

 

WHEREAS, the County Manager’s Office waived the Request For Proposal process for the original Agreement; and

 

WHEREAS, This Board has been presented with a form of such Second Amendment to the Agreement and said Board has examined and approved same as to both form and content and desires to enter into the same.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that

A. That the President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Second Amendment to the Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto; and

B. Authorizing the Director of the Human Services Agency or the Director's designee to execute contract amendments which modify the County's maximum fiscal obligation by no more than $25,000 (in aggregate), and/or modify the contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions.
