RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING 1) THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH
WEST COAST LINEN SERVICES TO PROVIDE LINEN AND LAUNDRY
MANAGEMENT FOR SAN MATEO MEDICAL CENTER AND BURLINGAME LONG TERM CARE FOR THE PERIOD MARCH 1, 2008 THROUGH FEBRUARY 28, 2011 FOR A MAXIMUM AMOUNT PAYABLE NOT TO EXCEED $3,320,025, AND 2) AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF SAN MATEO MEDICAL CENTER OR DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS WHICH MODIFY THE COUNTY’S MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION BY NO MORE THAN $25,000 (IN AGGREGATE), AND/OR MODIFY THE CONTRACT TERM AND/OR SERVICES SO LONG AS THTE MODIFIED TERM OR SERVICES IS/ARE WITHIN THE CURRENT OR REVISED FISCAL PROVISIONS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo requires linen processing and management services for the San Mateo Medical Center (SMMC) and Burlingame Long Term Care (BLTC); and

 

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and approval an Agreement, reference to which are hereby made for further particulars, whereby West Coast Linen Services shall provide laundry and linen services to SMMC and BLTC for the period from March 1, 2008 to February 28, 2011, for an amount not to exceed $3,320,025; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board has considered the Agreement and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into it; and

 

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signatures thereto.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief Executive Officer of San Mateo Medical Center shall be authorized to execute contract amendments which modify the County's maximum fiscal obligation by no more than $25,000 (in aggregate), and/or modify the contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions
