ADOPT A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE COUNTY PARKS FEE SCHEDULE TO STANDARDIZE FEES TO ACCOMMODATE THE USE OF AN ONLINE RESERVATION SYSTEM WITH SOME INCREASE IN FEES FOR THE GROUP PICNIC AND PICNIC SHELTER SITES; GROUP, YOUTH, DAY CAMP AND JACK BROOK HORSE CAMP SITES; SPECIAL EVENTS; MAINTENANCE FEES; RECREATIONAL PLAY STRUCTURE PERMITS; RESERVATION CANCELLATION/CHANGE FEES; NON-COMMERCIAL FILMING AND PHOTOGRAPHY FEES; A NEW ONLINE RESERVATION FEE OF $7.00 PER RESERVATION; AND A NEW PARK PLANNING RESEARCH FEE OF $75.00 PER HOUR IMPOSED BY WRITTEN AGREEMENT, WITH THE PROPOSED AMENDED COUNTY PARKS FEE SCHEDULE TO BECOME EFFECTIVE MAY 5, 2008

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks periodically reviews fees charged for use of the County Parks, park features and park services; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks will provide online reservation services for the public beginning in May 2008 and desires to standardize fees to accommodate an automated reservation system; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks is proposing amendments to its existing Fee Schedule as shown in Attachment A, to be effective May 5, 2008; and

WHEREAS, on April 3, 2008, the Parks and Recreation Commission reviewed the proposed amendments to the Parks Fee Schedule and recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve the proposed Amended County Parks Fee Schedule.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Board of Supervisors by adoption of this resolution hereby approves amendments to the County Parks Fee Schedule as shown in Attachment A hereto attached and incorporated therein.
