RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING AND COMMENDING

Robert G. Batinovich

Upon Receiving The

2008 Lifetime Achievement Award

Presented by the Peninsula Coalition

WHEREAS, Robert G. Batinovich is a successful businessman and generous supporter of various charitable organizations serving countless thousands throughout the Peninsula; and

   

WHEREAS, Robert’s business experiences include real estate, manufacturing, entrepreneurial investments, venture capital projects and commercial banking; and

   

WHEREAS, Robert’s public-sector background includes service on the California Public Utilities Agency, of which he was president during the energy crisis of the late-1970s; plus appointments to the California State Board of Transportation and the Health Facilities Authority; and

   

WHEREAS, committed to sharing his wealth of knowledge and resources with his community, Robert remains closely affiliated with Samaritan House, Community Gatepath, the Family Service Agency of San Mateo, Catholic Charities, the San Mateo Public Library and various schools on the Peninsula.

   

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County congratulates Robert G. Batinovich upon the honor of receiving the 2008 Lifetime Achievement Award, as presented by the Peninsula Coalition. The Board hereby expresses to Robert its gratitude and extends sincere wishes for continuous success and excellence.
