BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SHERIFF TO EXECUTE AND AGREEMENT WITH THE SERVICE LEAGUE FOR THE DONATION OF A VAN FOR USE IN SUPPORT OF HOPE HOUSE REHABILITATION SERVICES

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Service League is a non-profit organization that assists men, women and their families during and after incarceration and Hope House is a women’s residential treatment program and

WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo wishes to donate a used 2002 GGMC 15 passenger van to Hope House which is a part of Service League and

WHEREAS, said donated van will be used to transport women to and from Hope House which assists women to re-enter society as a long term residential treatment program and will also be used to transport women to and from rehabilitation activities in their goals of being sober and drug-free and

WHEREAS, the Service League will accept full legal ownership and liability for the van and its use, and will provide appropriate insurance coverage for it and

WHEREAS, this Board has been requested by the Sheriff to execute said agreement on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and finds it necessary and desirable to do so;

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED THAT THE Board of Supervisors, on behalf of the County of San Mateo, hereby authorizes the Sheriff to execute an agreement with the Service League for said donation.
