RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH KEITH A. HILLEGASS & COMPANY, INC. TO PROVIDE CLAIMS ADMINSTRATION SERVICES FOR THE GENERAL AND AUTO LIABILITY PROGRAM FOR THE TERM JULY 1, 2008 TO JUNE 30, 2011, CONTRACT AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $324,000, WITH TWO ADDITIONAL ONE YEAR OPTIONS, EACH OPTION NOT TO EXCEED $108,000.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the County must provide administration and support services for the County’s self-insured general and auto liability claims.

WHEREAS, in June 2002, the Board of Supervisors, by Resolution Number 065347 authorizing the execution of a three year agreement with Keith A. Hillegass Company, Inc. and subsequent amendment for the period July 1, 2007 thru June 30, 2008 for claims and administration services.

WHEREAS, the Human Resources Department, after conducting a Request for Proposal, wishes to enter into an Agreement with Keith A. Hillegass Company, Inc effective July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2011 totaling $324,000, with two additional one year options at the cost of $108,000 per option.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors hereby authorizes the Director of Human Resources to execute said agreement.
