The Emergency Medical Care Committee is a 21-member body overseeing ambulance services in San Mateo County. The membership includes representatives from law enforcement, fire services, emergency communications, health and medical services, coroner services and five members of the public, with no professional interests in emergency medical care.

Brad White is American Medical Response’s new general manager for San Mateo County. He started his career with AMR as an Emergency Medical Technician and worked his way up to vice president of operations for Hawaii and the Central Valley. Mr. White’s appointment would be for the remainder of a four-year term vacated by Mark Spangler, expiring March 31, 2011.
Tom Neylan is vice president of International Association of Fire Fighters Local 2400, San Mateo County firefighters. His appointment would be for four years, expiring March 31, 2012.
