RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE TWO GRANT AGREEMENTS (AIP NO. 3-06-0210-12 AND AIP NO. 3-06-0210-13) WITH THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION, IN THE AMOUNTS OF $500,000 AND $333,721 RESPECTIVELY, TO BE USED FOR THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF SAFETY AND INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS AT THE SAN CARLOS AIRPORT AND AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO EXECUTE ANY OTHER DOCUMENTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE ACCEPTANCE OF SAID GRANT FUNDS FROM THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has offered the County two airport improvement grants (AIP No. 3-06-0210-12 and AIP No. 3-06-0210-13) in the amounts of $500,000 and $333,721, respectively, for the design and construction of safety and infrastructure improvements at the San Carlos Airport; and

WHEREAS, the FAA requires the County, as a condition of receiving these grant funds, to enter into agreements which provide the conditions governing the use of said grant funds by the County; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with the Agreements and has approved them as to both form and content, and desires to enter into same:

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that:

1.

The President of this Board is authorized to execute two grant agreements (AIP No. 3-06-0210-12 and AIP No. 3-06-0210-13) with the Federal Aviation Administration, in the amounts of $500,000 and $333,721 respectively, for the design and construction of safety and infrastructure improvements at the San Carlos Airport; and

2.

The Director of Public Works is authorized to execute any other documents associated with the acceptance of said grant funds from the Federal Aviation Administration.
