RESOLUTION A. AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND INTELEGY CORPORATION TO PROVIDE CONSULTATION ON PLANS FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF STREAMLINED PROCESSES AND PROCEDURES AND MONITORING TOOLS FOR THE HEALTH INSURANCE TELECENTER (HIT) MEDI-CAL CALL CENTER FOR THE TERM REMAINING NOVEMBER 15, 2007 TO JUNE 30, 2008, INCREASING THE AMOUNT BY $79,600 TO $119,600, OF WHICH $3,980 IS NET COUNTY COST; AND B. AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF THE HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY OR THE DIRECTOR’S DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS WHICH MODIFY THE COUNTY’S MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION BY NO MORE THAN $25,000 (IN AGGREGATE), AND/OR MODIFY THE CONTRACT TERM AND/OR SERVICES SO LONG AS THE MODIFIED TERM OR SERVICES IS/ARE WITHIN THE CURRENT OR REVISED FISCAL PROVISIONS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, on January 23, 2008, the Director of the Human Services Agency approved Agreement No. 72200-08-D005 with InTelegy Corporation in the amount of $25,000, for the term of November 15, 2007 to June 30, 2008, to provide for an assessment of the Human Services Agency’s (HSA) Medi-Cal Health Insurance TeleCenter system; and

 

WHEREAS, on February 16, 2008, the County Manager approved Change Order No. 1 to the InTelegy Corporation Agreement increasing the amount by $15,000, for a total obligation of $40,000 to provide additional assessment of the Health Insurance Telecenter (HIT) Medi-Cal Call Center, and consultation on how to streamline current processes and tools; and

 

WHEREAS, the parties now wish to further amend the InTelegy Corporation Agreement, increasing the amount by $79,600, for a total obligation of $119,600 to provide consultation on streamlined processes and procedures and monitoring tools for the Health Insurance Telecenter (HIT) Medi-Cal call center; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such Amendment, and said Board has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into same.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the

President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to

 

A) Execute said Amendment for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto; and

 

B) The Director of the Human Services Agency is authorized to execute contract amendments which modify the County’s maximum fiscal obligation by no more than $25,000 (in aggregate), and/or modify the contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions.
