BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION A) AUTHORIZING AN EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH WOMEN’S RECOVERY ASSOCIATION (WRA) TO PROVIDE A DUAL DIAGNOSIS FACILITY FOR ADOLESCENT GIRLS, FOR THE TERM JULY 1, 2008 TO JUNE 30, 2011, IN THE AMOUNT OF $477,405, THERE IS NO NET COUNTY COST; AND B) AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF THE HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY (HSA) OR THE DIRECTOR’S DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS WHICH MODIFY THE COUNTY’S MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION BY NO MORE THAN $25,000 (IN AGGREGATE), AND/OR MODIFY THE CONTRACT TERM AND/OR SERVICES SO LONG AS THE MODIFIED TERM OR SERVICES IS/ARE WITHIN THE CURRENT OR REVISED FISCAL PROVISIONS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, On March 17, 2008, the Human Services Agency issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the continuation of the dual diagnosis facility and services for adolescents girls; and

 

WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo wishes to enter into a three-year Agreement with WRA, recipient of the RFP, to provide treatment services to dual diagnosis adolescent girls at the Tracey’s Place of Hope, for the term July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2011, for which San Mateo County’s payment amount will not exceed $477,405; and

 

WHEREAS, Children and Youth System of Care (CYSOC) will provide oversight to Tracey’s Place of Hope and will ensure full utilization of the program to benefit adolescent girls served by Children and Family Services, Juvenile Probation and Behavioral Health and Recovery Services; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such Agreement and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into the same.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that:

A) The President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said three-year Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto; and

B) The Director of the Human Services Agency (HSA) or the Director’s designee to execute contract amendments which modify the County’s maximum fiscal obligation by no more than $25,000 (in aggregate), and/or modify the contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions.
