RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A) EXECUTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH SILICON VALLEY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION (SVCF) TO PROVIDE ENCHANCED SERVICES TO POST EMANCIPATED YOUTH IN THE TRANSITIONAL HOUSING PLACEMENT PLUS PROGRAM (THP-PLUS), THE TERM REMAINS THE SAME, AUGUST 15, 2007 TO JUNE 30, 2010, INCREASING THE AMOUNT BY $114,665 TO $197,569, THERE IS NO NET COUNTY COST; AND B) THE DIRECTOR OF THE HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY (HSA) OR THE DIRECTOR’S DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS WHICH MODIFY THE COUNTY’S MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION BY NO MORE THAN $25,000 (IN AGGREGATE), AND/OR MODIFY THE CONTRACT TERM AND/OR SERVICES SO LONG AS THE MODIFIED TERM OR SERVICES IS/ARE WITHIN THE CURRENT OR REVISED FISCAL PROVISIONS.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on October 23, 2007, the County Manager approved Agreement Number 74200-08-C144 with Silicon Valley Community Foundation to provide a Project Manager for the Fostering the Future Program, a program that provides services to current and post emancipated foster youth and kinship care youth for the term of August 15, 2007 to June 30, 2010, in the amount of $82,904; and

WHEREAS, the Human Services Agency wishes to enter into an Amendment to the Agreement to add $114,665 for a new total obligation of $197,569 for enhanced services aimed at post emancipated youth in the THP-Plus program for FY 2007-08; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such Amendment to the Agreement and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into the same.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that:

A) The President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Amendment to the Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto; and

B) The Director of the Human Services Agency (HSA) or the Director’s designee to execute contract amendments which modify the County’s maximum fiscal obligation by no more than $25,000 (in aggregate), and/or modify the contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions.
