RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A SECOND AMENDMENT TO AN AGREEMENT WITH KEVIN HARPER TO PROVIDE ACCOUNTING ASSISTANCE AND ADVICE TO SAN MATEO MEDICAL CENTER FOR A TERM OF JANUARY 1, 2007 TO DECEMBER 31, 2008 INCREASING THE AMOUNT BY $115,000 FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT PAYABLE NOT TO EXCEED $315,000

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo contracted with Kevin Harper, CPA, in January 2007 to provide accounting assistance and advice and subsequently amended that contract in March 2007; and

WHEREAS, the parties wish to further amend Mr. Harper’s contract to increase his scope of work and to increase the maximum amount payable thereunder by

$ 115,000, to $ 315,000; and

WHEREAS, this has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance a second Amendment to the Agreement with Kevin Harper, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars; and

WHEREAS, this Board has considered this Amendment, and has approved it as to both form and content, and desires to enter into it.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the President of the Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Amendment for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signatures thereto.
