BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DESIGNATING SPECIFIC PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT AGENTS, BY TITLE, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ENGAGING WITH THE FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY (FEMA) AND THE STATE OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES (OES) REGARDING GRANTS APPLIED FOR BY THE COUNTY

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors did, on February 24, 1998, adopt Resolution No. 061725, which Resolution authorized specific Public Works agents, by name and title, to engage with FEMA and OES regarding grants applied for by the County; and

WHEREAS, the original authorized Public Works agents listed and referred to in Resolution No. 061725 have since retired or are no longer employed by the County; and

WHEREAS, OES requires the Grantee to certify by Designation of Applicant’s Agent Resolution (OES Form 130), Public Works authorized agents, by title, to be passed and approved by this Board of Supervisors and certified by the President of this Board; and

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that:

1.

The Board of Supervisors authorizes the Public Works agents, listed by title, on OES Form 130; and

2.

The Public Works agents will be authorized to execute in the name of the County of San Mateo all necessary applications, contracts, agreements, amendments and payment requests hereto for the purposes of securing grant funds and to implement and carry out the purposes specific in the grant applications with FEMA and OES; and

3.

That the President of this Board of Supervisors shall be, and is hereby, authorized and directed, for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, to in connection therewith certify the titles of the Public Works agents listed on OES Form 130 are true and correct; and

4.

That the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, County of San Mateo, shall be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to attest the signature of the President of this Board of Supervisors on said OES Form 130.
