RESOLUTION AMENDING THE COYOTE POINT MARINA FEE SCHEDULE

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Coyote Point Marina staff annually reviews fees charged for berthing in compliance with the County’s loan agreement from the California Department of Boating and Waterways that requires the Marina’s berth rental fees be adjusted by a rate not less than the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics Consumer Price Index (CPI); and

WHEREAS, Marina staff is recommending a 6% increase in Marina berth rental fees that represents the 4.3% CPI change for the twelve-month period of January 2007 to January 2008 and an additional 1.7% toward meeting overall operating costs and needed capital improvements; and

WHEREAS, the County’s Park and Recreation Commission has reviewed the proposed berth rental fee increases which would amend the existing Coyote Point Marina Fee Schedule and recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve the proposed amended Coyote Point Marina fee schedule; and

WHEREAS, the proposed Amended Coyote Point Marina Fee Schedule is attached as Attachment A and would become effective August 1, 2008.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Board of Supervisors by adoption of this resolution hereby approves the Amended Coyote Point Marina Fee Schedule as shown in Attachment A.
