RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING: (A) AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH INTERFAITH HOSPITALITY NETWORK (IHN) TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE REMAINING TERM OF THE AGREEMENT THE TERM REMAINS THE SAME,

JULY 1, 2007 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2010, INCREASING THE AMOUNT BY $113,674 TO $168,856; $6,524 IS NET COUNTY COST; AND (B) THE DIRECTOR OF THE HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY OR THE DIRECTOR’S DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE SUBSEQUENT AMENDMENTS AND MINOR MODIFICATIONS NOT TO EXCEED AN AGGREGATE OF $25,000, AND TO MAKE MINOR CHANGES IN THE TYPES OF SERVICES AND ACTIVITIES PROVIDED UNDER THE AGREEMENT

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on June 14, 2007, the County Manager’s Office approved Agreement Number 71000-08-C031, waiving the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, and authorizing the Rotating Church Shelter Program in the amount of $55,182 for

FY 2007-08 only; and

WHEREAS, the term of the Agreement is July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2010, this Amendment will provide $113,674 for the remaining term of the Agreement for a new total obligation of $168,856; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with the form of this Amendment and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into said Agreement; and

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that

A. The President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to execute said Amendment for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto; and

B. The Director of the Human Services Agency or the Director’s designee shall be authorized to execute subsequent amendments and minor modifications not to exceed an aggregate of $25,000, and to make minor changes in the types of services and activities provided under the Agreement.
