RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH SAMARITAN HOUSE TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE REMAINING TERM OF THE AGREEMENT THE TERM REMAINS THE SAME, JULY 1, 2007 TO

JUNE 30, 2010, INCREASING THE AMOUNT BY $812,130 TO $1,357,524;

$663,812 IS NET COUNTY COST

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on June 5, 2007, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution Number 068765 waiving the Request For Proposal (RFP) process, authorizing the Safe Harbor Shelter Operations in the amount of $445,394 for FY 2007-08 only, and authorizing the Director of the Human Services Agency to execute subsequent amendments and minor modifications not to exceed an aggregate of $25,000, and to make minor changes in the types of services and activities provided under the Agreement; and

WHEREAS, on May 6, 2008, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution Number 069399, an Amendment to the Agreement, to provide funding in the amount of $100,000 due to the increase in shelter operating expenses for FY 2007-08; and

WHEREAS, the term of the Agreement remains the same, July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2010; and

WHEREAS, the parties now wish to further amend the Agreement to provide funding in the amount of $812,130 for the remaining term of the Agreement for a new total obligation of $1,357,524; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with the form of this Second Amendment to the Agreement and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into same.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to execute said Second Amendment to the Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
