RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH SHELTER NETWORK TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE REMAINING TERM OF THE AGREEMENT, THE TERM REMAINS THE SAME, JULY 1, 2007 TO

JUNE 30, 2010, INCREASING THE AMOUNT BY $1,642,616 TO $2,428,303; $743,038 IS NET COUNTY COST

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on June 5, 2007, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution Number 068767 waiving the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, authorizing an Agreement with Shelter Network, for the purpose of providing the Motel Voucher Program and the Transitional Housing for Families With Special Needs Program and authorizing the Director of the Human Services Agency to execute subsequent amendments and minor modifications not to exceed an aggregate of $25,000, and to make minor changes in the types of services and activities provided under the Agreement; and

WHEREAS, on February 1, 2008, the Director of the Human Services Agency executed an Amendment to the Agreement to revise the language in the Program/Project Description and the Method and Rate of Payment; and

WHEREAS, the term of the Agreement remains the same, July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2010 with a new total obligation of $820,437 for Fiscal Year 2007-08; and

WHEREAS, the parties now wish to further amend the Agreement to provide funding in the amount of $1,642,616 for the remaining term of the Agreement for a new total obligation of $2,428,303;

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with the form of this Second Amendment to the Agreement and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into same.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to execute said Second Amendment to the Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
