RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE GORDIAN GROUP IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $500,000 FOR THE PERIOD OF AUGUST 12, 2008 THROUGH AUGUST 11, 2011 TO DEVELOP, IMPLEMENT AND SUPPORT ON AN ONGOING BASIS A JOB ORDER CONTRACTING SYSTEM FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California that

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works conducted a formal Request for Proposals process for consulting services to develop and provide on-going support for a Job Order Contracting System; and

WHEREAS, the Department received only one proposal from The Gordian Group; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works evaluated the proposal received and determined that the proposal was responsive to the request and therefore recommends that the County enter into an agreement with The Gordian Group; and

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance, an agreement with The Gordian Group for an amount not to exceed $500,000 for a term of 3 years; and

WHEREAS, this Board has examined and approved the contract as to both form and content and desires to enter into the same.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors is authorized to execute said agreement with The Gordian Group to develop and provide on-going support for a Job Order Contracting System for Public Works Projects.
