RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE:

THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT ONE TO THE AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY AND COUNTY OF SAN FRANCISCO FOR FISCAL YEAR 2006 SUPER URBAN AREA SECURITY INITIATIVE (SUASI) GRANT PROGRAM TO INCREASE THE DISTRIBUTION AMOUNT BY $55,712 FROM $287,124 TO $342, 836 AND EXTENDING THE TERM SIX MONTHS FROM DECEMBER 31, 2007 TO JUNE 30, 2008.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that:

WHEREAS, on May 1, 2007, the Board executed an Agreement (Resolution No. 068691) with the City and County of San Francisco for distribution of $287,124 in FY06 Super Urban Area Security Initiative (SUASI) funds to the County of San Mateo; and

WHEREAS, both parties now wish to amend the Agreement, to increase the distribution amount by $55,712 from $287,124 to $342,836 for training and exercises and to extend the term of the agreement by six months from December 31, 2007 to June 30, 2008; and;

WHEREAS, this board has been presented with a form of such Amendment and has examined and approved same as to both form and content, and desires to enter into same

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED THAT THE:

President of the Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute Amendment One to the Agreement with the City and County of San Francisco for the allocation of Fiscal Year 2006 Super Urban Area Security Initiative (FY 06 SUASI) grant program funding to the County of San Mateo increasing the distribution amount by $55,712 from $287,124 to $342,124 and extending the termination date by six months from December 31, 2007 to June 30, 2008.
