RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING (A) AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY-FAIR OAKS COMMUNITY CENTER TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE REMAINING TERM OF THE AGREEMENT AND TO ADD THE EARLY ENTRY SHELTER PROGRAM, THE TERM REMAINS THE SAME, JULY 1, 2007 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2010, INCREASING THE AMOUNT BY $157,738 TO $227,028; $142,738 IS NET COUNTY COST AND; (B) THE DIRECTOR OF THE HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY OR THE DIRECTOR’S DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE SUBSEQUENT AMENDMENTS AND MINOR MODIFICATIONS NOT TO EXCEED

AN AGGREGATE OF $25,000 AND TO MAKE MINOR CHANGES IN THE TYPES

OF SERVICES AND ACTIVITIES PROVIDED UNDER THE AGREEMENT

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on May 1, 2007, the County Manager’s Office waived the Request for Proposal (RFP) process and on June 28, 2007, approved Agreement Number 71000-08-C036, authorizing the Core Services in the amount of $69,290, for FY 2007-08 only; and

WHEREAS, the term of the Agreement will remain the same, July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2010, the Amendment adds the Early Entry Shelter Program and provides $157,738 for the remaining term of the Agreement, for a new total obligation of $227,028; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with the form of the Amendment to the Agreement and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into said Amendment.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that

A. The President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to execute said Amendment for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.

B. The Director of the Human Services Agency or the Director’s designee shall be authorized to execute subsequent amendments and minor modifications not to exceed an aggregate of $25,000, and to make minor changes in the types of services and activities provided under the Agreement.
