RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING (1) EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH ADVANCED RECRUITMENT SOLUTIONS TO PROVIDE ADVERTISING SERVICES FROM OCTOBER 1, 2008 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 2011 IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $225,000; (2) EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH SPIN RECRUITMENT ADVERTISING TO PROVIDE ADVERTISING SERVICES FROM OCTOBER 1, 2008 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 2011 IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $225,000; AND (3) THE HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR TO EXERCISE THE COUNTY’S OPTION TO EXTEND EACH AGEEMENT BY TWO YEARS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, it is necessary to utilize comprehensive recruitment advertising services and a Request for Proposal for such services was conducted;

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and approval, agreements with Advance Recruitment Solutions and Spin Recruitment Advertising for the provision of advertising services to the County for the period of October 1, 2008 through September 30, 2011 in the amount not to exceed $225,000 per contract, with the right of the County, it its sole discretion, to extend each contract until September 30, 2013, in consideration for payments not to exceed $75,000 per year;

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such agreements and has examined and approved them as to both form and content and desires to enter the agreements.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of the Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized to execute a three-year agreement with Advanced Recruitment Solutions and a three-year agreement with Spin Recruitment Advertising; and authorizes the Human Resources Director to exercise the County’s options to extend such agreements.
