BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, SITTING AS THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 2008, IN THE AMOUNT OF $169,444.00 BETWEEN AMERICAN ASPHALT REPAIR & RESURFACING CO., INC. AND THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO (HACSM) TO REPAIR AND REPAVE THREE PARKING AREAS AND ONE DRIVE LANE AT MIDWAY VILLAGE AND AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING OR THE DIRECTOR’S DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE SUBSEQUENT AMENDMENTS AND MINOR MODIFICATIONS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $25,000.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, sitting as the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the County of San Mateo is the owner of the real property commonly known as Midway Village, Daly City, San Mateo County, California;

 

WHEREAS, three parking areas and one drive lane at the property are in need of repair and resurfacing;

 

WHEREAS, the HACSM conducted an Invitation for Bids (IFB) in accordance with HUD’s Procurement Handbook for Public Housing Agencies, 7460.8, Revision 2;

 

WHEREAS, the HACSM received eight sealed bids and the bid was awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible contractor, American Asphalt Repair & Resurfacing Co., Inc;

 

WHEREAS, this Board is authorized to approve the Agreement between American Asphalt Repair & Resurfacing Co., Inc. and the Housing Authority of the County of San Mateo in the amount of $169,444.00;

 

WHEREAS, there has been presented to the Board of Commissioners for its consideration and acceptance the Agreement reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, and the Board has examined and approved the same as to form and content.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the President of the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the County of San Mateo, is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the Housing Authority of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of the Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of the Department of Housing or the Director’s designee, shall be authorized to execute contract amendments which modify the County’s maximum fiscal obligation by no more than $25,000 (in aggregate), and/or modify the contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions.
