Ines has been a County employee since 1991 and has been serving families in San Mateo County as a Benefits Analyst since 1994. She is currently at the Fair Oaks Family Medical Center, working closely with Community Health Advocates to ensure that all families visiting the clinic receive medical coverage. Ines carries a heavy workload and is able to not only keep up the hectic pace conducting face to face interviews with all the families, she is also successful in processing Medi-Cal within the deadlines mandated by the State.
Ines is diligent about the retention of families on Medi-Cal. She goes out of her way to help families with their renewals to ensure continuity of coverage. She is a strong advocate for families in the community and takes great pleasure in meeting with them and never turns anyone away.
Her supervisor states, “ I couldn’t feel any luckier. Ines always makes sure that her cases are handled properly and that the families and children are taken care of.“ In 2004, Ines was recognized by the Children’s Health Initiative Coalition for her dedication, passion, pro-active nature and pro-client attitude. According to the Certified Application Assistors (CAC’s) that work with her, “Ines never hesitates to assist families with their Medi-Cal applications and is always available to answer their questions and concerns. Ines is a true inspiration, she is the epitome of what public service is all about.“
Ines is an asset to the County of San Mateo and the community at large. She is kind, compassionate and respectful towards all. She has a strong work ethic and is a dedicated advocate for her clients.
