RESOLUTION (A). AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH NORTHWOODS CONSULTING PARTNERS, INC. TO REDESIGN AND IMPLEMENT A CONTENT MANAGEMENT SOLUTION FOR THE MEDI-CAL PROGRAM WITH POTENTIAL FOR FUTURE CAPABILITY TO SUPPORT OTHER ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY PROGRAMS, FOR THE TERM OF UPON EXECUTION THROUGH JUNE 30, 2009, IN THE AMOUNT OF $366,187, $18,309 NET COUNTY COST; AND (B). AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF THE HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY OR THE DIRECTOR'S DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS WHICH MODIFY THE COUNTY'S MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION BY NO MORE THAN $25,000 (IN AGGREGATE), AND/OR MODIFY THE CONTRACT TERM AND/OR SERVICES SO LONG AS THE MODIFIED TERM OR SERVICES IS/ARE WITHIN THE CURRENT OR REVISED FISCAL PROVISIONS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, HSA determined the need to redesign the infrastructure to align with business needs; and

WHEREAS, an Request for Proposal was conducted on August 11, 2008 to seek services to meet the challenges; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable that Northwoods Consulting Partners, Inc. be retained to provide for a redesign and implementation of a content management solution for the Medi-Cal Program with potential for future capability to support other economic self-sufficiency programs in the amount of $366,187 for the term of upon execution through June 30, 2009; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such Agreement, and said Board has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into same.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that

A. The President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto; and

B. The Director of the Human Services Agency or the Director’s designee is authorized to execute contract amendments which modify the County’s maximum fiscal obligation by no more than $25,000 (in aggregate), and/or modify the contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions.
