RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH FOR MANAGED CARE SERVICES FOR THE TERM JULY 1, 2006 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2009, INCREASING THE MAXIMUM OBLIGATION BY $18,970,155.89 TO A NEW MAXIMUM OF $26,304,294

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on October 24, 2006, this Board of Supervisors approved a managed care Agreement with the State of California Department of Mental Health for the purpose of providing Medi-Cal funding to Behavioral Health and Recovery Services for managed care services and other specified mental health services for the term July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2009, for a maximum obligation of $7,334,138.11; and

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an Amendment to the Agreement, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby the Agreement maximum is increased by $18,970,155.89 to a new maximum of $26,304,294 with no change to the Agreement term; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with the Agreement and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into the Agreement:

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
