THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING

THE HONORABLE

CATHERINE “KITTY” MULLOOLY

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

WHEREAS, CATHERINE MULLOOLY has been a resident of the Town of Hillsborough, California since 1975, has been a member of the Town of Hillsborough City Council since 1992, and served as Mayor of Hillsborough from 1996 to 1998 and from 2006 to 2008; and

WHEREAS, CATHERINE MULLOOLY received her Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, was a teacher at Lincoln Elementary School in Monroe, Wisconsin and at St. Stephen’s Elementary School in San Francisco, California, was the Insurance Secretary at T.L. Mullooly, D.D.S., Inc. and is the Business Manager for Mullooly Dental Corporation; and

WHEREAS, CATHERINE MULLOOLY has been a dedicated public servant, and has been a member of numerous commissions and community groups, including the San Mateo County Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Services JPA, the San Francisco International Airport/Community Roundtable, and the San Mateo Area Emergency Services Council JPA; and

WHEREAS, CATHERINE MULLOOLY has been an outstanding community leader, and has given her time and talent as a board member to several organizations, including the Central County Fire Board, the Hillsborough Beautification Foundation, the Hillsborough Historical Society and the Vincentian Service Corps West; and

WHEREAS, CATHERINE MULLOOLY has received well-deserved recognition for her invaluable contributions to the County of San Mateo and the Town of Hillsborough, including the 1985 Hillsborough Community Care Award, 1989 Hillsborough Citizen of the Year, 2005 State of California 19^th Assembly District Woman of the Year, and the 2007 Good Stewards Society Award.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, on December 8, 2008, hereby congratulates and expresses its gratitude to CATHERINE “KITTY” MULLOOLY for her 16 years of service on the Town of Hillsborough City Council, and extends its best wishes to her and her husband, Thomas L. Mullooly, D.D.S., on their future endeavors.
