BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, SITTING AS THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION APPROVING REVISIONS TO THE HOUSING AUTHORITY’S ADMINISTRATIVE PLAN FOR THE NEW HOUSING READINESS PROGRAM

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, sitting as the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires that housing authorities develop an Administrative Plan to govern the operations of its Moving-To-Work Program and that such plan be kept current to conform with ongoing policy changes; and

 

WHEREAS, the 2008 Annual Plan required changes to policies in the Administrative Plan; specifically, the Housing Authority intends to use 60 of its existing 300 Moving-To-Work vouchers to establish a Housing Readiness Program for homeless individuals and families; and

 

WHEREAS, the Housing Authority’s Administrative Plan has been revised by staff to conform to the requirements of HUD and incorporates Housing Authority policies pertaining to the Housing Readiness Program; and

 

WHEREAS, any changes to the Administrative Plan must be approved by the Housing Authority’s Board of Commissioners; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board is authorized to approve the Administrative Plan; and

 

WHEREAS, there has been presented to the Board of Commissioners for its consideration and acceptance the revisions to the Housing Authority’s Administrative Plan for the new Housing Readiness Program reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, and the Board of Commissioners has examined and approved the same as to form and content.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority, approve the revisions to the Housing Authority’s Administrative Plan for the new Housing Readiness Program and that the Director of Housing or his designee is authorized to make ongoing revisions as necessary to conform with Housing Law and HUD regulations.
