BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION 1) AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH SCOTT OESTERLING, MD TO PROVIDE OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY SERVICES FOR THE TERM OF JANUARY 1, 2009 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2010 IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $4,012,905.60 AND 2) AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF SAN MATEO MEDICAL CENTER OR THE CEO’S DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS WHICH MODIFY THE COUNTY’S MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION BY NO MORE THAN $25,000 (IN AGGREGATE), AND/OR MODIFY THE CONTRACT TERM AND/OR SERVICES SO LONG AS THE MODIFIED TERM OR SERVICES IS/ARE WITHIN THE CURRENT OR REVISED FISCAL PROVISIONS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo has a continuing need for professional obstetric and gynecology services; and

 

WHEREAS, there has been presented to the Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an Agreement, reference to which is hereby made, whereby Scott Oesterling, MD shall provide the County of San Mateo with obstetrics and gynecology services for the period January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2010, for total compensation not to exceed $4,012,905.60; and

 

WHEREAS, the Board has considered the Agreement as to form and content and desires to enter into it.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the President of the Board of Supervisors be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief Executive Officer of San Mateo Medical Center or the CEO’s designee shall be authorized to execute contract amendments which modify the County’s maximum fiscal obligation by no more than $25,000 (in aggregate), and/or modify the contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions.
