Reappointment to the Agricultural Advisory Board

RECOMMENDATION:

Reappoint April Vargas to the Agricultural Advisory Board representing the category of Conservationist Member. The reappointment would run for a term to conclude on June 30, 2012.

VISION ALIGNMENT:

Commitment: Realize the potential of our diverse population.

Goal(s): Civic engagement -- including voting, public service, charitable giving, volunteerism, and participation in public discussions of important issues -- is uniformly high among the diverse population of San Mateo County.

BACKGROUND:

April Vargas has been a valuable member of the Agricultural Advisory Committee since 2005 and has performed her duties as the Conservationist Member in a very capable manner.
