RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE BROADMOOR POLICE PROTECTION DISTRICT (“DISTRICT”) FOR $40,0000 TO PROVIDE REIMBURSEMENT TO THE DISTRICT FOR CERTAIN COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE SCHOOL CROSSING GUARD PROGRAM DURING THE PERIOD OF JULY 1, 2008 TO JUNE 30, 2009

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, an agreement has been proposed and presented, to be entered into with the Broadmoor Police Protection District (District) for reimbursement of certain costs incurred by the District in association with the provision of school crossing guards to protect school children who are required to cross certain heavily traveled roadways within unincorporated areas of the County while traveling to and from school; and

WHEREAS, the Board has final authority over the total cost of the school crossing guard program that will be paid or reimbursed from amounts deposited in the Half Cent Transportation Fund; and

WHEREAS, the Board agree that the District shall provide school crossing guards at the location(s) described in Exhibit ‘A’ which is attached herewith; and

WHEREAS, this Board has considered the agreement and desires to enter into same.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that said Agreement by and between the County of San Mateo and the Broadmoor Police Protection District is hereby approved, and the President of this Board is hereby authorized to execute the agreement and the Clerk of the Board shall attest to the President’s signature thereto.
