Re-appointments to the Emergency Medical Care Committee

RECOMMENDATION:

Re-appoint Ms. Sharon Brockett, of Fresno, Calif., to the Committee’s heart association seat; re-appoint Dr. Kim Feigon, of San Rafael, Calif., to the San Mateo Medical Society seat; re-appoint Ms. Francine Serafin-Dickson, of San Mateo, to the hospital administrators seat.

BACKGROUND:

The Emergency Medical Care Committee is a 21-member body overseeing ambulance services in San Mateo County. The membership includes representatives from law enforcement, fire services, emergency communications, health and medical services, coroner services and five members of the public, with no professional interests in emergency medical care.

DISCUSSION:

Ms. Sharon Brockett is a community strategy manager with the western states regional office of the American Heart Association, covering San Mateo County. This re-appointment would be to her first, full term expiring March 31, 2012.

Dr. Kim Feigon is assistant chief of the emergency department at Kaiser Permanente’s South San Francisco facility. This re-appointment would be to her second, full term expiring March 31, 2012.

Ms. Francine Serafin-Dickson is executive director of the Hospital Consortium of San Mateo County. This re-appointment would be to her second, full term expiring March 31, 2012.
